I am a full time artist. I graduated from the Western Michigan's Fine Arts Program and have a Masters Degree from Aqunias. Although each of my paintings is a unique expression, the common thread running through my work is a passion for color combined with highly textural passages and a fluid movement. I create very strong oils full of life and vitality which are an extension of my adventure with life and the joy I find in color. I divide my time between Michigan where I have my studio and my studio in Florida. I paint for shows, galleries, commissions, and eBay auctions. I am an impressionist painter, inspired by Monet, Van Gogh, and Cezanne, just to name a few. My work is colorful and and convey's vitality. I useing lots of bold colors.I creat happy, sunny, warm, colorful, vibrant paintings which will convey a sense of who I am.

Painting green is one of the important things to learn when using watercolors. Green right from the tube is just to garish and needs to be mixed with other colors to give it a more natural look You can make your own greens by mixing blues and yellows. I have modified viridian green with blues for the shadows and added a little more cadmium yellow for the sunlight areas. I like to bring in the compliment of green, red. In this painting I have added alizarin crimson to both the edges of the white flowers and areas of leaves.
Daily Paint Works, where I often post watercolors paintings had a challenge to paint something with Polka-Dots so this is what I painted.
