Art on Paper
I have started this blog Art on Paper because I like to think on paper. It’s not as demanding for me as the blank canvas in front of me. I feel freer, as artists we experiment try thing reject what doesn’t fit for us we work and move on. We are in a state of continually metamorphosing into what we hope to become. The “what will I be when I grow up”, I will play with these things here. Almost all artists I know will tell you they intend never to grow up because we are always learning and becoming. So I play, work out detail, and grow. I will be posting thing that I work on in paper here. They may be oil, watercolor, acrylic, pencil and charcoal, but all will be on paper. Some may be finish work other will be the beginnings of something bigger.
Generally people don’t understand how to play. Most people end up living their whole lives making compromises, killing their dreams and ignoring the voice within to get something which they don’t really want. They just have to make do because of the circumstances that they find themselves in. I find myself lucky to have spent the right amount of time in the right place and left at exactly the right time.
So here I will play and grow and paint on paper as I dream.
